For free lying in the sun and peacefulness visit the beaches of Vlychada, Fellos and Kaminaki at the west side of Andros, the beaches of Kypri, Stivari and Plaka at the northwest part of the island. Also the beaches of Gialia, the one with pebbles and the other with sand, along with Achla, are at the north side of the island. One of the most beautiful unorganized beaches of Andros is the Chalkolimionas beach. It is a long sandy bay with turquoise waters at the west side of Andros with easy access. The beach of Zorgos is a sandy beach in a natural environment of unique beauty with crystal clear waters and sand! Ideal for fishing and relaxation!
Swimming and Sightseeing. At the beach of Pyrgos, you will see the Venetian castle of Makrotantalos. At a little bit higher spot from the beach of Limanaki is the little church of Agios Sostis, an important church for the people of Andros. At the beach of Agios Petros, you will see the homonymous tower. The best though for sightseeing beach of Andros is Palaiopolis where you will swim around the ruins of the ancient Agora. The beach of Mylos, the wind surfers’ favourite, has an old wind mill in the centre of the beach.
