Unorganized beaches of Andros : an overview

we are taking a closer look to the unorganized beaches of Andros, the natural shore formation that you have to visit if you really want to enjoy the beauty of the coastline of Andros island. Unorganized beaches of Andros and natural. For free lying in the sun and peacefulness visit the beaches of Vlychada, Fellos and Pisolimionas at the west side of Andros, the beaches of Stivari and Plaka at the northwest part of the island. Also the beaches of Gialia, the one with pebbles and the other with sand, along with Achla, are at the north side of the island. The beach of Zorgos is a sandy beach in a natural environment of unique beauty with crystal clear waters and sand! Ideal for fishing and relaxation!

Swimming and Sightseeing. At the beach of Pyrgos, you will see the Venetian castle of Makrotantalos. At a little bit higher spot from the beach of Limanaki is the little church of Agios Sostis, an important church for the people of Andros. At the beach of Agios Petros, you will see the homonymous tower. The best though for sightseeing beach of Andros is Palaiopolis where you will swim around the ruins of the ancient Agora. The beach of Mylos, the wind surfers’ favourite, has an old wind mill in the centre of the beach.

Starting with the verdant nature of Andros, the valley of Achlas River which springs in Zenio in Mt Petalo and ends in Achla Beach is a true gem for those who love hiking. Along the way one comes across the majestic arched bridge of Varidi, as well as several mills and fountains. Near Vourkoti, Gerolimni, a small lake with a waterfall hidden in the rock is a diving spot known to just a few, whereas the valley of Evrouses near Apoikia is yet another breathtaking path through the wondrous nature of Andros.

We will start from Gavrio as this is the main port of Andros where you will get a first idea of what is more to come. Gavrio nowadays is a fully organised tourist site of Andros with a lot of restaurants and shops to explore. If you decide to visit Gavrio then do not miss swimming at Fellos beach and exploring the monastery of Agia.

Another important village of Andros, at the west side, is Batsi. Here you will find the most vibrant spot on the island. In Batsi area you will find the Agios Petros Tower, a monument that you must visit.

Special Practices in Pool area and Spa Facilities

Cleaning and disinfecting of tables and loungers after every use as per specific hygiene protocols. Sun beds will be fully sheltered with a sanitized cover replaced for every guest. The number of guests allowed in the pool at any given time is specific and will be fully enforced.
Use of footwear until the swimming pool edge is mandatory. The Hamam and Jacuzzi in the Spa are temporarily unavailable until further notice. For the beauty and massage treatments strict protocols are being implemented regarding hygiene, cleaning and appointment bookings.
